I am sad to see you so easily conceded the troll war. Of course you are a troll and of course we all know that. The game here was to humour you until you either cried or went home. But openly admitting you are a troll was something I never foresaw as it the lamest of all options.

Troll or sociopath? Anyways, what's the best way to stop the phone from getting wet? My boyfriend has an otter case for his but it's kind of industrial strength and is overkill for me. I actually like the idea of a ziplock just for during the runs. Anyways, I'm glad you guys are carrying your phones for emergencies at work and such, that could be our parents, brothers and loved ones you're saving.
I'm on duty for occasional one-week periods as a flight surgeon. If there is an aviation mishap involving aircraft at the air station I am assigned to, the mishap pager goes off and you have to call back immediately to find out if you need to be in a SAR helo en route to the scene. I bought an inexpensive black wallet-sized zippered pouch made by Case Logic which I think was designed to carry ipods while running. I don't use the arm strap that it comes with (it bounces around too much on my noodle-arms), instead I just loop the thin handle, which is comfortable, over my knuckles and hold the pouch in my palm - very easy and not too intrusive. I can put my cell in the pouch, it never gets wet, and clip the stupid mishap pager to the handle. I hate carrying it (just because it makes me nervous), but it's not intrusive or hard at all.
Let me tell you this. Cell phones ABSOLUTELY HATE MOISTURE. It can completely destroy them. So while every cell phone is small enough to carry on a run, if you anticipate a lot of sweat/rain, put it in a zip-loc.
When my wife was pregnant I carried a cell phone with me on those runs of an hour or more.
