I guess I have to point out the obvious to you. it is POOR people who are disproportionately doing those things and black folks are disproportionately poor because of a history of slavery and racism. Haven't you noticed that prisons aren't full of people with college-educated parents of either race?
"Please tell me when black people become personally responsible for the problems that exist in their community."
I think you are setting up a false dichotomy here. The two are not mutually exclusive.
"Black people are having kids by the busload by several different daddies who fail to support those kids in any shape, manner or form. They are void of any responsibility."
Yet you think when these kids grow up, that experience has no bearing at all on the subsequent choices they make. Have you reckoned that sense marriage and family were irrelvant factors for most of blacks existance in the US, that some of these cultural patterns from slavery and the immediate aftermath were a bit persistent? White people didn't give much of a damn about black families for, by my count 250 years. And now we say "Now you can vote, why are you so far behind? Get your shit together!" It should be how obviously unfair that is. And it should also be obvious how that it the only way the problem will be solved. That is why I am pretty depressed about the whole enterprise and can't possibly feel good about any of it.
You are confusing a diagnosis of the problem with a proscription for a solution. My diagnosis is liberal, but proscriptions for solution conservative. The only thing that is going to help black people as a group (and help individual blacks get out of the shitty environment many grow up in) is to be demphasize these causes. An utterly depressing prospect.
