You are obviously white and mostly a rock fan. For some reason Eminem seems to attract a lot of people that usually don't listen to rap music.
Loving the love for Nas on this thread. But Stillmatic is one of his worst albums. It Was Written is so underated. That's because the 2 singles were both tracks that blatantly sampled from previous hit songs and so the album lost it's 'street cred'. Take those songs off the album and it's better then Illmatic. Songs like 'Suspect' and 'Affirmative Action' have superb beats and the rest of the album is very solid. I would rate 'Gods Son' about even with 'Illmatic' as his second best release.
I must admit to liking too much mid '90's gangsta (gfunk) rap. So here are some other favourite albums:
Snoop Doggy Dogg - Doggystyle (even better then The Chronic)
Warren G - Regulate G Funk Era
Dogg Pound - Dillinger & Young Gotti (I like most of Daz and Kurupt's stuff)
I generally just like rap from the '90's, although the rapper from Linkin Park (Mike something) bought out a good album recently.
Biggie and 2pac had some good stuff, but were overated. Even so, All Eyez On Me and Ready To Die are good albums.
