Male, 17:16, just last weekend breaking a 6 year slump with no PR.

14:53 Road - 2005
17:55 for a road 5k set this summer, male.
On a side note, a XC race does not constitute a 5k, alot of highschool xc races are less than 3.1 miles (some as few as 2.5) and I'm sure alot of 5k college courses aren't actually 5k.

male, 16:08
male, 18:45. any might I add, I never ran in HS or college, so my knowledge is limited to frieds, letsrun.com and the five or six races a year i jump in. as far as 5K times go, I see very few people on here and in races in that 18-19 minute range. Why is that? I have my theory, but most race results feature a handful of guys high 15 to low 16 and then a handful of 17 guys and then a boat load of 20 minute-ers.

18:01 last weekend @ 7500ft. 2nd race in 12 years..feels good to be back training.
Wow, so I'm guessing 15 - 16's for guys is average. Ugh. That makes me feel like a weakling: 18:22 PR
14:22 college
15:20 master
17:30 Grand master
15:40 in my first attempt ever, I will try one again next year and if it isnt sub 14:50 I will eat my shorts.
19:45 on a tough, ugly course. Mud, Hills, Grrrr! Slow compared to letsrun speedies, but I always wondered if should have tried harder on an easier course. I never really cared though. Running was simply for fun. I didn't ware a watch, and still don't not even when I'm not on a run. Enjoyment, exercise and runner's high was good enough for me.
