Goucher is OUT!!!

well you can run on it but it doesn't feel good later on. i ran a 10k on a stress fracture 2 weeks after being diagnosed and i was hobbling around for the next 3 days. i was really lucky that i didn't fracture it completely through but i definitely increased my recovery time by probably 2 weeks or so.

Um, elites really get stress fractures that often? Or just American elites who haven't figured out what it means to be professional?

This thread is bogus.

I saw him running yesterday and walking around Campus today. He certainly did not look like someone who has a stress fracture unless it's somewhere is his upper body. It certainly is not affecting his running form.

That's funny you mention drugs and Salazar. On a recruiting visit years ago, the coach whom was a coach on some national teams told me Salazar's rise and fall was because of drugs. I wondered, why the hell are you telling me this? I'm gonna play Gary Player now and not say who, but interesting how you mentioned that.
