"yeah i didn't really race, it was more of a tempo run..."
riiiiiiiight.

Hey, I haven't even done any road races yet this summer, nor do I plan to. I am just speaking for some other guys I know. Summer should just be about getting in some easy miles and taking a mental break before XC starts in the fall.
you must run jv? im not sure of too many guys who are going to "race" in the summer. what is the point. would you rather run well in nov or june? not too many varsity guys I know "racing" in june.
The way I see it is if you enter a race, you should race it. If you don't want to race, then just train and run your tempos on your own.
Guess you aren't allowed to have any fun when you run huh? How about doing a race just for the experience, to help out a charity, or to simply support your hometown or whatever. Entering a race and beating 95% of the people doing a tempo run is still fun to me and I'll do it whenever I want. Races can be saved for the season.
It wouldn't hurt you to run a few miles hard if you want to support a charity or whatever. Or ou could always just jog it and finish like 100th place.
Grizzly Adams DID have a beard.
you're pretty sick chubbs
so for anyone predicting a high finish for st thomas this fall, please keep in mind that by my count they could have as many as 5 or 6 of their top 7 be mid distance guys? no one notices this and I feel like im taking crazy pills
Yeah someone should probably tell St Thomas and all their mid-d guys that they cant be successful this year because some guy on the internet said so, that way they wont waste their time training, setting goals and realizing their dreams.
You got any more brain busters?
sooo uhhh? wrote:

Exactly my thoughts. I understand that they have talent and work hard and are young etc, but their only sub 16 guy apparently just skipped town for LaCrosse. I'm sure Boumeester could have done it had he run those distances, but I'm not so sure on the rest of the crew.
How can St. Thomas have the youngest team for the last three years?
it's science
its because they suck. and ogrady was never good anyways, let him transfer so he can feel good about possibly getting to nationals...a true leader of a team wouldnt bail in his senior year so he could run nats. thats they was i see it.
a couple things, he'll be a junior next year. also i heard he left because of his coach. i've heard some pretty crazy stories about the things wareham does from the st. thomas guys, so maybe there's more to the story that we don't know.
also, since he is a WI native, he will save a buttload of money by going to a state school
It's not really like that, we don't take it too seriously.
"HOW COME THERE'S NO ICE IN MY LEMONADE?!?! GET DOWN AND GIVE ME 20!!!"
Urban legend of the river roads goes that Pete once strangled and threw umbrellas at his runners, but only cause he loved them soo much... he beat them much like an alcoholic husband to his wife
O'grady left cause he was a baby and needed more attention. He attempted to be a good teammate but was actually just a soar spot on the team, and I know that I am a lot happier that he is gone. What is even funnier, is that he lives with those guys until the end of the summer, they probably all hate his guts for ditching them but w/e. Now this year St. Thomas could honestly make a huge jump, they have guys that love to train their asses off. They could end up taking 5th -7th again which would be terrible for the team they have but they could also end of 2nd. It will interesting to see how much they mature and see how some of those guys have done after 2 years of training at the college level. They have guys that love the 90 mile weeks and some of them just had a terrible timing and rough seasons but still have the training under them. Just look for Williams, Connel, Mansur, and Smith to have huge seasons, I know those guys like to train hard so watch out. Also look for Rosvold, Boumeester, Sames to lead this team in a similar way as they did for the Mid D crew. Boumeester will be the new Erichsen this year. However I highly doubt they will run well very consistent, they will either run well at conference or well at regions but not both. Just my two cents so it ended up being so long, I'm obviously a lil biased, but I don't even run for St. Thomas anymore, but still interested in them.

Yeah right.I highly doubt they will beat SJU, Hamline or Carleton. It is nothing personal against St. Thomas. They have a great track team. But most of them are mid-d guys. Erichsen is a very rare case and we still have yet to see him preform in Cross this year. I wouldn't go around saying this guy is going to be "the next Erichsen". That is just dumb to say.
