And you can keep the $50 if I win. Good luck to him.

Gotta go w/ my lucky #s, and I hope Fasil doesn't run 2:21:12! Hope he represents the USA and New Balance well.

Negative splits ftw!

Negative splits ftw! (Fasil must have gotten a new email address that I did not know about, I’m not sure why he went with the name LukeTheRunner”
”9 minute PR…….”,….. I would think that this might be optimistic…in fact, Our mom might find this time optimistic… I hope you are right, but In fact I think that many of l the guesses are skewed to the optimistic end…..I guess that it might be reasonable to skew to the faster times as you are responding to the runner’s brother, but, give your best guess…not best possible scenario guess….

I now suspect a likely clustering of guesses around the guy from MIT as everyone will assume that he got his guess by using a statistical algorithm that plugs in hieght, weight, vital statistics, PRs, prerace diet, climate, # of times getting laid in the past year (Fasil might hurt in this department) and figured a time based on this statistical algorithm………Thanks for the support!

Thanks for support. Shots out to everyone in our hometown of Indianapolis, especially Ben Davis High School! I still own the Columbus East high school course record (the only one that Fasil did not break)…granted it was a dual meet in the middle of nowhere…but I still got it and noone can take that away from me…I’m pathetic

So, since I've only recently visited Let's Run, I do realize that just predicting a time for a marathon can become a stale exercise in this thread format. I notice that the people that post on this site are actually pretty funny, so in order to make this more entertaining, I propose that when you guess Fasil's time, let's answer an optional question. If you wanna just put down your time and go about your merry way that is fine, but if you wanna have some fun, help me with this delimma.
I'm going to the beautiful city of London for the first time since 2000.
What two things are an absolute necessity to bring in the suitcase?
My Answer:
1.Tonic to go along with Beefeeter's Gin (London's best export)
2.33 Toothbrushes (one for me and others to give away to the Brits)--just a poke at my British friends
no holds barred with your responses
Thus place your guess in
time"
then answer the optional question if you want?
Lastly, to the guy that guessed 2:09:10, that time is already taken.....
