I was reading a Trackshark blog, of a harding girl and she mentioned that Ester Komen, XC champ, from western had transfered there. Just thought some might like to know.

oh yeah, cele and macias are both mexican citizens, not U.S. citizens. They both grew up here and went to h.s. here, but both were born in Mexico. I think we'll see some fast times by D2 americans outdoors this year, and even faster times next year. Should be fun to watch

Cele ran in the US XC championships in Boulder, so at some point he became a US citizen. Macias is in the process of trying to get his citizenship.
must have been pretty recent, when he won xc's he was a mexican citizen
adams state sucks
so does your mom, the only bad part is your dad is actually better
I will take Dilling in the HJ (2.30/7'6.5").

Dude you are a tool man. He ran US outdoor champs last year, XC last year, and I believe he ran Junior XC when he was younger. He has been a citizen for a while.

"Why would Aucencio compete unattached until this Friday?
You think he payed his entry fee and travel arrangements to Seattle, WA on 2/10/07?
Anyone care to shed some light?"
I highly doubt that he paid his way, but thats the norm for Adams State red-shirts. they still get everthing paid for and get to travel with the team. Which is highly aganist NCAA rules.

looks like someones breaking the rules!
could you elaborate please
The toughest in at least the last 3, probably quite a bit further back.
This brings to mind the fact that back in the late 90's it was becoming Truman vs. a good number of foreign athletes in the MIAA. Rosario, Doering, Heinecker, et al taking on the Fins and Russians (plus Carlos Vasquez from PSU).
Out of those five milers, all are American, and only Sanderson is from outside of Kansas and Missouri (South Dakota, not quite Finland). Looking forward to seeing them square off on Saturday in Warrensburg.

looks like somewhat of a slow tactical race results were pretty much as expected..
The list of accepted entries is up, Why such a small field for the mens mile? how many people to they take to the final, 8?
Also Western, Grand Valley, and Harding did not qualify DMR's. Does anybody know why? Those schools have more than enough talent to run a fast medley if they wanted.
accepted: When deciding numbers for the championship, they look for clear breaks in time/distance for the fields initially. There was a .75 break after #12 in the mile. It also depends on how many people are doing multiple events, sometimes if alot of people are doubling/tripling then it opens up more spots. Hope that answers your question as to determining fields.
Maybe Western scratched their DMR and decided to let their big guns focus on individual events?
