Scalan ran 4:01 at Providence, now owns a restaurant in the Financial district.

Giffen ran around 2:17, and placed somewhat high in the O.T. race in the mid 90's. Think he is retired from the sport, has twins.

Mike Banks of Wachusett runs (sorta) for Georgetown. Not much, if any, improvement from his HS days. Few 3ks, 5ks I see out of him each track season.

Said Ahmed: Pro. Most likely training for the indoor season. Ran in a few 1500's this summer, lowering PR I believe.

Pat Morasse: Rumored to have disliked running his senior year, and couldn't wait to be done. However I'm pretty sure I saw him at All-NE jogging a few.

He deservingly got kicked off. Slacking off all summer and putting on weight and making jokes about who has the biggest beer gut is not a good example to set. He was amazing but a poor example setter and not dedicated that year.

I think Drew Harrington went to the Air Force Academy? I could be wrong though

We have Kim Smith, Amy Rudolf and Mary Cullen hanging around here in Rhode Island. It's sickening how many people in our state would recognize some fat baseball player but don't even know who these runners are. Two of them are national record holders. Good grief.

I think Drew Harrington went to American University first. Just didn't gell with the team - transferred and gave up competing. I should see his father at Hock Championships Friday and if so I'll get an update.

Soul was never a stud. And never will be. I don't think he was within a minute of me at any race I can remember. He was no more than a decent runner.

Ah, I know this one. Vanderhoof ran at Wisconsin and did very well. He's not chilling out and not racing. He runs for fun now and is work and living in Cambridge, MA.

Last I heard from him he went down to FSU to run, injured himself, didn't feel like running anymore. Not sure if he's running anymore for them, but that's where he's at school.

Someone asked about the Cody's: Scott went to PRovidence and had some good races, but some serious knee injuries. DId some running post-college, but after awhile, nothing too serious.

Jesse.....I am not sure, but don't think he did a lot post-high school.

Scott and Jamahl Prince I believe are coaching Cambridge Ringe and Latin track these days (or were for awhile).

Soul went to Stonehill College. He dropped off the team and school for a brief period soph/junior year due to lack of motivation, going to classes, training and money. Then rejoined both the school and team after the coach worked some magic to get more tuition for him, only to drop off again. Doesn't run much of anything now as far as I know. I don't believe he finished his degree either, unfortunately.

Jeez let's not rehash this thread... He had more natural talent than most of us and became a simple case of unused, unmotivated and wasted talent. Some people just aren't cut out for competitive running year after year (I know I wasn't). End of story.

I think people like to talk about people like Tony cause it frustrates everyone to see someone with that amount of talent and not want to or be able to use it, as both was the case here. The kid still ran amazing times in college that I would've died to reach.

Kim Smith is New Zealand manager of recruiting company, Robert Half Finance & Accounting, in Auckland.

She also is still running for hear native country, and running well. Here's an article about The Fifth Avenue Mile race from a few weeks ago... 2nd place in 4:30.3...

Amy Rudolf is still running hard too... 32:50 for 3rd place in last week's Tufts Health Plan 10k Race for Women in Boston.
