- You are scared that running is going to cause you to lose muscle and make you too thin (if you are a guy)
- You are scared that running is going to make your legs too big (if you are a girl)
- You think in terms of calories burned, not miles run
- You run on a treadmill whenever you run even if it is really nice out
- You don't move to the side for a faster runner
- You think someone who wins local 5k's in 16:30 is an elite and hardcore runner
- You make run of runners who wear short running shorts
- You have 2 running books: 1 by the Penguin and 1 by Galloway
- You once went crazy and went out and did a double, getting in 6 miles for the day
- You run for 18 weeks a year (the 18 weeks of following Galloway's plan). The rest of the time you "workout" at the gym
- You are more concerned with increasing you maximum benchpress than setting a PR
- You don't know what PR stands for
- Someone tells you they had a strong kick in a race and you don't know what they are talking about

There's nothing wrong with carrying water with you if you're going over 20 miles, and it's 90 degrees out.
Carrying water with you in races that are either short, or have adequate aid stations is ridiculous though.
Last year I saw a guy wearing a camelback in a 4 mile XC race! It wasn't even warm out.
I saw him too. He had an AWESOME kick!!!!
American men regularly now run sub 13 5k and sun 27 10k but marathons stuck at 2:07. What gives?
