Face it, none of you can dispute me earlier statement. I could easily name tons of black track athletes who were heralded as Olympic heros for winning an individual bronze or a relay gold, but they all had names that Americans could pronounce. Meb wins a silver and gets nothing ... because he does not have an American name.
Do you really want to see this as a future US Olympic distance team?

People just don't accuse white Americans in distance running because they aren't fast enough. Actually, Kennedy, Tegenkamp, Goucher and Webb, along with a few others, have had their names tossed out there for suspicion. So it isn't about race. It's about pace.

White runners are not accused of doping to the extenmt that black runners are.
Also anyone else notice that wejo deletes posts or threads that accuse white runners of doping (starta thread call "teg on epo" and see how long it lasts) whereas the posts about east african doping never seem to get deleted.
M$aybe this is why I see racism. It's not this baord, it's the gatekeeper.

Probably because an enormous number of black runners are faster than the fastest white runner. If 10 white Americans ran under 13:00 for 5,000 next year, of course they'd be accused, even if they passed every test.

It's probably just imagined. When I'm on a crowded highway, I'm always thinking a couple of miles in advance about how I'm going to get into the right lane to exit. I constantly imagine people are being jerks and deliberately trying to keep me from changing lanes. But they probably aren't. They're probably just driving along. And then I get engrossed in an elaborate cat-and-mouse dual that only exists in my mind.
People are generally oblivious to most of their surroundings and have no idea whether some random guy senses they're thinking anything about him one way or the other. But that guy may interpret some incidental action in a certain light and think they're thinking something about him and take issue with it. The truth: Our issues are usually a product of our own self-absorption and hypersensitivity.
White runners ahven't run as fast and therefore haven't generated as much suspicion.

Frank Shorter was never a citizen of any country other than the USA. It's actually not the same thing as Salazar, who was born in Cuba, and was a Cuban citizen, until his family moved to the US.

George Washington was born in the American Colonies...he was considered a British citizen not an American Citizen....Before the war he would have called him self British not American. Shoot he would have called himself Virginian before he called himself American. Therefore he started his life as a citizen of another country and switched...yet he is recognized as one of the greatest Americans of all time.
Its nip picking with the details, however, America is an immigration country...so therefore anyone who doesn't think a LEGAL immigrant should get all the rights (key word legal) as another American citizen is being a little racist....
