I agree with you OP. She was shaken up and going through the stages of denial in real time with a camera in her face.

I’ve said this many times, this sport doesn’t survive without rivalries. Our sports needs it! I’m glad to see that the 800m on the women’s side has some rivalry going. Think about mondo in the PV it would be much more exciting to watch if he had a rival. But its misses that element to make it one of the best events due to the nature of him breaking the WR every time out it’s only missing that rivalry aspect

There are a number of posts here stating that Werro's progression is not unusual . Werro ran sub 1.54 a feat only achieved by an East European doping system . In order to do it she had to beat her PB by 2 seconds , Its very unusal.

Why isn't it unusual for a Caucasian athlete to go from 1:47.58 to 1:42.27 (which is 5.31 seconds) in one season but a European African athlete drop 1.9 seconds and it's highly suspect❓

Shouldn't her performance be met with the same acceptance and praise as the other❓🤔

It's simple, 1:42.27 isn't that remarkable of a time RELATIVE to where the top pros are at now. Also, that was his first truly competitive race and due to sheer talent he produced that time. Werro has been racing on the DL circuit since 2022. Improving from 1:55 high to 1:53 high is a HUGE improvement for seemingly no reason. Completely different scenarios.

I thought keely was gracious,and definatly not nasty or arrogant. If audrey can build on this and improve,no one, including keely will beat her. Ive never believed keeley will break jarmila's record,but perhaps audrey can.

You're trying too hard. She said she needed to fix her training so it doesn't happen again. She clearly understood Werro was the better runner, said as much, and indicated she needed to up/change her training to get better.

1:42.27 is a very remarkable time. If Cooper's sheer talent can take 5.31 seconds off his personal best, than shouldn't Werro's be able to do the same❓. I think BOTH are clean and enormously talented but it's VERY hypocritical to accept one athlete's massive jump and not accept the other athlete on the same level of innocence.

I hope Audrey and Keely meet again in the 800m this season before European Champions.

to be honest with tactics, keely honestly is pretty bad, she's frequently hawked down in the last 100m of championship races, and really only wins when she's just fitter than everyone else and going for it from the start. Probably didnt get a ton of competition growing up but its why if there's anyone close to her speed, she's probably losing
