only a 16:02.8 on the track my junior year of high school. i ran alone on a track that had some serious wind on the backstretch. i came through the 3 mile in 15:30. The school record was a 16:02.5. oh well.

800-1:52.03 (but I know this guy used to split something like 1:49 high)
1600-4:11 (same guy)
3200-9:38 (me)
5k XC-16:23 (me)
Cross Country, HS record is 15:05 ~ me.
Track,
400 is 48.x ~ mine was 50.7.
800 is 1:52 ~ mine was 1:53.
1,500 is 3:48.x ~ mine was 3:52. ( I owned this record for six years before someone smashed it down to 3:48.x!)
3,000 is 8:30.x ~ mine was 8:32 (only ran it once senior year).
800m 1:48
1500m 3:45
3000m 8:00.2
XC5000m Don't know the time but it was fast. First place was almost a minute ahead of a guy that went on to compete for Canada in the Olympics.
Come on, you remember me. I told you this already!
Anyway, in high school, the coach kept bugging me for 3 1/2 years to come out for the track team, and in my senior year, I came out for the team just to shut him up.
So I said "yeah, I'll come out, but I just saw this awesome Pre movie and I have to run the mile."
First meet I figure hold it together and I could run 3:45 if the weather's good. I just missed it, man. Second meet, I am on pace to run something like, 3:10, and my leg got sore, and I had to step off the track. My doctor said I broke some tendons and could never run again. Man....the cheerleaders were there, too, and some of 'em were crying for me. I dated a couple of 'em later.
You know, every once in a while colleges are still calling me, seeing if I want to try it again. But I got it made at Goody's, and I don't need that hassle.
Our 5k high school record is 15:02, my pr is 14:57 now. But too bad I graduated 2 years ago, senior year my time was only 15:21.
14:43 5k CC- i think
I goto to south lakes in reston,
obviously Webb has the record, don't know how fast he ran though
can't find it anywhere
Anyone know his fastest 5k in highschool?
It's gotta be 14 something
No 5km at my high school.
1500m 4:01 (mine)
3000m 8:38 (mine)
I did run a 14:11 3 mile road race,9th, (winner broke Salazar's 13:40 something course record) but I"m not sure if that was the fastest of my high school.
14:16. Ralph Serna.
School 5k XC record-16;16

Mile, 800, 2mile indoors and hell Webb probably has the 400m record for all i know....yea man your screwed.
14:49 set in 1970 by my dads XC captain. They won New England championships 1970-74. Now, we have trouble qualifying for states. God we suck
Some of your high school records are amazing!
only a couple really good ones, but all around one of the best set of records in the midwest.

The guy who holds the 800m record also ran 49.04 in an open 400m, although he would go on to split 47.82 as the anchor of our 4x400m team. No human being has ever appeared to run so fast.

Ritz's 14:10 was for 3 miles. His hs pr for 5k was the 14:29 his jr yr at Footlocker.
Way to pull stuff out of your @ss, man. Ritz ran sub-14:20 xc 5ks 3 times his senior year, running 14:18,14:17, and his state 14:10. He also ran a flippin 14:35 at Parkside. Don't just make things up, because it makes you sound like an idiot.
The world record is 12:37 bud, who are you trying to impress? At least use a realistic time
Once again, world record is 3:46
Our 5k record is 16:01 (set on the state championship course; same guy ran 15-high on some courses that were less verifiable). This is in SC at a very small private school, so it's quite good relative to the field. We've got a freshman at 16:30 this year, so maybe there's a chance of seeing it broken.
The amazing thing is that this was done back in '83, when the only training we ever did was hammer 4 miles hard every day and repeat quarters with lots of rest on Mondays. We might have had a "long run" of 6 a couple of times a year.
