Of course distance races on the hot days while most sprints are on Saturday when it cools down. At least JaMeesia Ford running her first 400 of the year in 85 degree temps
Rough day for racing all around. Windy and a bit hot too. The race organizers changed the pace lights for the 10k because no one was hitting the times.
If I had to guess I would say that Hartman is injured or has a niggle. Why else would she open her season up this weekend and defend the 10k she won in this meet last year in a meet & track record of 31:20. With a quality field she also would have had a good chance to get a 10k qualifying time for the NCAAs. Seems like a missed opportunity unless she’s injured.

Anybody remember who the high school runner was that was pulled off the track with one lap to go in a 3200m when he was on, I believe, very close to national record pace?

Rosa twins in New Jersey? Maybe state record pace I think.
