I followed Chuck Norris back in the 1980s. After graduating college in 1983, I took up Taekwondo. I liked his style of fighting particularly his kicks. Watched all his action movies & really liked the "Delta Force" flicks. Then I watched a lot of him on "Walker Texas Ranger" where he was the hero always getting his man - and the admiration of that hot DA. 😉
Interestingly, the family is not releasing the cause of death. If it was a heart attack or stroke or something like that, at least he lived a very healthy life right up to the time he died (86 is way ahead of life expectancy for an American male). There are far worse ways to die in your old age.
Smack? Bruce Lee was an actor, he was never a fighter. As Gene LeBell proved. lol
benny the jet and bruce lee could both kick chuck norris' ass. norris wasnt a real fighter either. he was interesting. but honestly i can kick his ass on total gym as can many little kids.
norris was lucky bruce lee agreed to kick his ass in so many movies. inosanto could probably kick norris ass also. norris can beat kid rock but how about georges st pierre
I used to train at Benny’s gym (The Jet Center) back in the day. He’d tell you Bruce was an actor, not a real fighter. Chuck actually had to fight in competitions, but he was not a kickboxer. Bruce did not fight in competitions. Ever. Benny was a fantastic kickboxer, so was Jerry Trimble, who also worked out at the Gold’s Gym next door among other places. That poster knows his stuff, Gene LeBell is the guy who put Bruce Lee in a headlock to teach him a lesson because Bruce was getting full of himself and hitting stunt men. After that Bruce was very afraid of stunt men. The actual story is well known in Hollywood. It was the basis for the Bruce Lee scene in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” which was of course exaggerated and geared to be funny.

Why did they down vote you? Because it’s true? Bruce was a PR whiz, but he wouldn’t have lasted a minute against actual fighters.
i have been punched by a guy bruce taught to punch. and i have had the technique demonstrated to me. there is no doubt bruce had dangerous skills. you would be a complete fool to say bruce could not fight. that was a serious punch

They’re saying Bruce was not a fighter. He never fought in competitions, sport fighting, the ring, etc. Against an actual trained fighter Bruce wouldn’t stand much of a chance. He was an actor.
Didn't Chuck Norris hold the marathon world record in the 70's? Maybe into the 80's too.
He ran that Marathon backwards to learn what second place looked like - forgot to cross the finish line with the bib side visible first, hence the WR didn't count.
Wow, some of the Chuck Norris hater comments are pretty low. And isn’t the legacy of a good actor how much enjoyment their work brought to others? I know for me personally, Chuck Norris’s movies and Walker, Texas Ranger entertained me for countless hours. And the endless Chuck Norris memes also illustrate how much enjoyment he brought to others.
Kick some ass in the afterlife, Chuck!
Being an actor shouldn't mean everything else you do is meaningless. This guy was a first class snake oil salesman and right wing wacko.

Let's try not to be too ridiculous. I know a guy who knocked himself out playing with nunchucks. and he didnt even know how to use them. Imagine how much worse it would have been if he had actually practiced.
Also, If you compare footage taken from actual workouts. From both Bruce and Chuck. It is obvious who was tougher.
Bas Rutten did not say, I wanted to be like Chuck. and Neither did Goggins.

Numb-chucks are a show-off toy with no practical role in combat. This is true of a lot of feudal Asian "martial" arts. Especially Shao-lin kung fu, nearly all of it is performative acrobatics and demos.
The actual warriors of the time wore armor and fought with spears, swords and arrows. The non-warrior caste fought with the same weapons if they could get them, or with staves. Not with ridiculous numb-chucks. And they never accepted "empty hand" combat vs armed opponents if it could be avoided.
