There seems to be a Rowan runner who has had enough of the whole Seth fiasco. @RowanCleanSport on Instagram (which is an account focused on bringing more awareness to the Seth situation) posted a screenshot of an email they sent to both AD Tucker and Coach Dimit. In the email, there is a Rowan runner who is quoted.• On Internal Communication: "I don't fault Tucker simply because I don't think Dimit is being honest with him. Dimit is a very shifty guy, and he'll tell you what you want to hear. About a week before the Letsrun article came out, I walked into our gym to the two of them talking about Clevenger. After I got out of earshot I listened and Dimit was trying to claim that the rumors were being spread by Hopkins because they were jealous. Tucker asked if he was sure because he was 'getting a ton of emails.' So like I said, I don't think Tucker is being told everything." • On Team Reputation: "It's a shame that there is a negative image placed on both the team and the university, especially when my teammates have done nothing wrong. It's good we have people like you who try to do the right thing." • On the Program Atmosphere: "Dimit and Clevenger treat this like it's a joke." • On Prior Recruitment Red Flags: "Clevenger is mainly at Rowan due to the fact that no other D1 schools would take him. The known schools that rejected him are Ole Miss, Georgia, Duke, NAU, and Saint Joe's." So Rowan AD Shawn Tucker and Head Coach Dustin Dimit either did zero due diligence and didn't know about this email OR they had this information and participated in a massive cover up to allow Seth to run. I hope Gault can dig deeper and find out which. Either way, wow.

Pretty pathetic to watch Dimit celebrating and carrying on in the videos on Shawn Tate's Instagram. What a hollow victory. He must feel so proud to win by letting the lowest common denominator onto the team.

Don't take this as defending those feckless, spineless cowards at Rowan, but realistically, why would they? If they don't ask the question, then they don't have to do anything about it. It's a classic ignorance-is-bliss perspective.

Every other school, of course, did ask the question because they care about their reputation, but not Rowan! And why should we be surprised? This is the same school and Coach that joined the steering committee for XC solely for the ability to gerrymander NYU out of the region.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong here, but isn't the Rowan coaching staff the entire reason the Atlantic Region doesn't exist in XC anymore?

Rowan was getting belted when it was the Atlantic and wanted their team to have a better chance so they convinced the NCAA to split up the region into 2-3 different ones?

All this talk about the Rowan coaches not giving AF about someone who is doping coming on so they can win a trophy made me think of that. These guys don't give AF and will do what they need to so they can have a chance at any sort of hardware.

Dimit was the lead author of the D3 NCAA’s realignment plan for regions in cross country which started in 2021. He purposely watered down the Metro region to give his team the best chance to qualify for Nationals. Funniest thing is Rowan hasn't qualified as a team since realignment despite being in the weakest region.

So now the clown who claimed Clevenger wanted to go to Rowan over any of the other options a top 20 placer at Nuttycombe would have had (NAU top running school, Duke top school, etc) is proven false

To you and the person who said “basically confirms” are insane. How does an email claiming something confirm any wrongdoing? And I have no dog in the race but I’m also black and don’t care at all what yall are doing 😂

This process was going on for nearly 10 years at this point. The NE corner of the US was always going to be exploded because the number of teams there was so large.

It was clear when we started the process that geography alone could end up unbalancing the existing order, but there was really not a lot of choice. Some regions had 30 teams routinely show to the meet, some had 70.

OK Dustin, now explain why you fought so hard for NYU to not be in the Metro. And then tell us why you never reached out to ISU regarding what happened with Seth.

We're getting pretty far off topic, and I get what you're saying, but there's no denying Rowan went from a tough atlantic region, to the Metro likely being the softest. And NYU not being in the freaking "Metro" region is just hilarious.

Pdong is definitely not Dimit. He’s a former D3 coach and UAA athlete that has posted for at least 15 years.

Dimit was president of the coaches association at the time and likely had a hand in steering the schools to regions but I would expect others bright it up. The NCAA has final say and approval so they are equally to blame.
Also, some schools may get a bonus for winning nationals, but I know several that didn’t receive anything and had to fundraise to pay for rings for their team. D1 contracts are much different.

Yeah, good call, we're getting off-topic. Let's focus less on the fact that Dimit is unscrupulous and unethical on the basis of him lobbying to get NYU out of his region, and let's focus more on the fact that Dimit is unscrupulous and unethical on the basis of him asking approximately zero questions about why the lying cheater SC got suspended from his previous school.
