I would put Andre De Grasse over Bailey. They both had similar peak performances, but De Grasse has been picking up medals at global championships for 10 years compared to 3 for Bailey. He also has a very strong second event(100m), while Bailey never did anything over 200m
Similar peak? Only one of them held the world record. Fastest man alive

It's a good point. I was referring to them both being Olympic champions, but setting the world record is an advantage for Bailey.
I'm gonna go with Pookie Johnson. We called him Slim back in the day. He be from Compton. Cat could run the 200m being chased by cops in around 23 seconds flat ya dig?
Norway is not so easy. Grete Waitz won 5 World Cross Country Gold Medals, 9 NYC Marathon Golds, a World Championship Gold, an Olympic Silver, 2 London Marathon Golds, a total of 12 Marathon Majors Golds, broke the marathon world record 4 times, broke track world records and other road world records.
Although I think Waitz is the GOAT, there is also a good argument for Kristiansen. She once held the WR in 5k, 10K and marathon.

That actually sounds pretty easy to me. Jakob does not currently have that career repertoire. He needs to get at least one of the big ones (1500/mile/5000 WR) or start winning more championship races

Norway isn’t easy IMO, though Waitz probably takes it.
The Mt. Rushmore is Waitz, Kristiansen, Ingebrigtsen, and Warholm.
While I appreciate the XC prowess and 1984 marathon medal of Lopes, the depth of work by Rosa Mota I nominated earlier is deeper.
NOTABLE WINS
1988 Olympic, 1987 World Champs., 3x European Champs., 3x Boston, 2x Chicago, plus 1x each at Rotterdam, Tokyo, London
and she is still active setting Age Group records today
Women to men is really apples to oranges. Back in the 80s, competition was much stiffer on the men's side than the women's. They both deserve the honor in their respective categories.
