Did we ever get a full account of what was and wasn't found? I just moved on.
Outside of letsrun's own coverage, the most complete account of events I saw was in the details in the CAS report on Balla's sanction from June 2019.
After Aden's high profile arrest, not many details ever came out. WADA banned drugs were found in hotel rooms, but nothing linked these drugs to Aden.
Aden was before the Spanish criminal courts for a different offense of harming athletes with substances that were illegal in Spain, but not banned by WADA.
Aden was quietly cleared of all criminal charges in November 2022, with just one Spanish newspaper reporting it -- quite a contrast to how his arrest was covered.
Aden was never charged by the IAAF of any violations, nor was he ever suspended from coaching.
I read the link that Jonathan put in the first post but really want more details in this Welteji case. I really hope the full CAS report comes out soon and it says, "This is an unofficial summary for media use. Unless Parties request confidentiality, the full Award will be made available on the CAS website."
We need to remember the Ehtiopians originally tried to clear here so I want to know all the facts.
Here are my main questions.
1) When the decision says, "Whilst the Sole Arbitrator accepted that certain technical and best practice departures occurred, she found Ms Welteji failed to establish any compelling justification for her failure to submit to sample collection," what does "best practice departures occurred" mean?
2) Also it is written, "The evidence of what occurred until the SCP departed the property without collecting a sample then consists of fundamentally contradictory witness accounts."Where can i read what the "fundamentally contradictory witness accounts" were? I want the details.
Some of this is answered in the previous CAS decision on the provisional suspension.
Apparently the DCO should have asked the athlete to sign a refusal form, but failed to do so.
Apparently one contradictory account comes from the same DCO, according to testimony before a previous Hearing Panel:
"46. The Athlete’s primary argument is that the DCO failed to comply with the “mandatory procedural step of offering the Athlete a ‘Refusal Form’ to sign” and that after the Athlete questioned the timing of the test, the DCO simply left the premises. The Athlete contends she did not refuse to provide a sample but merely questioned why the test was conducted outside her designated time slot, thereby disturbing her rest period.
47. The Division President acknowledges that this dispute centers on conflicting accounts of the doping control session. WA contends the Athlete refused testing without compelling justification, while the Athlete maintains the DCO’s account was inaccurate, as demonstrated by his testimony before the Hearing Panel."
the law is an Ass. Diribe Welteji must have thought they stand a chance. If whereabouts has 3 chances. Why this 1 missed test is so egregious?
My advice is get pregnant get back better and prove them wrong.
If Knighton was allowed to compete in the Olympics with a positive drug result.
Here is an African woman banned for missing 1 test. In mitigating circumstances, only to be summarised as negligence and banned from competing and given a 2 year ban.
You are the one who started this childish game, for some unknown reason maybe even you don't know, showing a consistent pattern of jumping to many wrong conclusions. Now you remind me of Coevett, who thinks everyone is Hoady. With rare exceptions, like "Excel User", I have been posting as "rekrunner" since 2009.
One of your strongest clues should have been someone asking about the rules -- I am quite familiar with the rules of testing within and outside of the designated timeslots, as well as the consequences when the rules are not met.
If I had had any questions, they would have been along the lines of "rojo's" -- what does "best practice departure" refer to here, and what were the "fundamentally contradictory witness accounts"?
But precisely since I am not lazy, and I try to be well informed, I looked into it what was already made public, and provided partial answers to the question.
Some people dont post here with fixed user names because with the time they become targeted by downvotes especially if they offend American and other European countries with their view.
In 3/4 years of experience I didn't see anything negative in Rekrunner posts.

What is white is right.
She didn't "miss" a test, she refused in person to provide a sample.

There is nothing wrong with being lazy, or working smart, as it were. Sometimes it saves one time, especially if not that much is at stake. But my guess is the women in your life do think you are lazy, as often being labeled lazy is simply another way of saying “you are spending time on something I don’t deem to be important.”

LOL All the dope and syringes in the hotel raid are not enough?
even worse, not just that the slow walked it through the court system so that it would get lost over time, the Spanish courts ordered the evidence DESTROYED so that it could never get tested for the DNA.
We literally have a doping coach who doped an entire family of runners who dominated events for over a decade caught red handed hiding syringes and other doping trash with DNA on the needles... and nothing ever came of it.

Perhaps it is better to say "I am not always lazy." You are right the woman in my life wouldn't agree with my previous statement.

Makes you want to give up. Just...give up.
Not literally. Neither the IAAF, nor "los Mossos", nor the Spanish prosecutor, linked Aden or his athletes to any WADA banned substances, with the sole exception of Balla, who was sanctioned by the IAAF -- so something actually did come of it.
If only the IAAF and the Spanish prosecutors had had this information.
Then again, not much you can do when the only thing your star witness can say is "I never saw anyone take anything or do anything in regards to syringes or anything." and "I don’t know—I never saw syringes, I never saw any of that stuff, I was just told they were vitamin injections."
This is consistent with what they found in Aden's room.

Was the star witness Bill Clinton? Or was it Sergeant Schultz?

You are obtuse to the point of hilarity to run cover for Africans - no one else - just Africans. Your general hatred for the US, well, that’s typical of your ilk, as is the urge to be contrarian. Drugs work, and literally every world class East African since ‘87 has been “to the gills”. It’s getting to the point where one has to wonder if you’re helping supply things to the cheats, and are trying to protect your livelihood.

I don’t think the Rekster hates Africans. He jumps in and has the same approach when it comes to non-Africans. You just see what you want to see.
