I actually like it. It's such an alpha move and showed the guy has that killer's instinct in him. That's how you're supposed to race. Is it worth a DQ? Idk..while there was a bit of of body-checking I don't think that had an impact on the outcome, Marco was clearly going to win anyway, and so I believe that was unintentional like a reflex.

Stepping out in two lanes to shove someone isn’t unintentional. He’s a cheater.

Diving at the line 4 times or more is what?
It’s a show, been watching for 45 years and still current
Sticking your arm out
an impeding dive into a lane not yours off the turn?
you get the line you create off last short turn
this may seem trivial but obvious to every expert fan I have talked to
the diving like you are trying harder
you lose time
The after race sh-t is old and beyond tiresome
Win one thing big
and today that is not as easy as being a bad boy of distance running
nobody cares
And trashing essentially Gary Martin who did not need a qualifier?
Bad form again
he may beat Martin every time but to make it seem like an afraid no show?
He has had worse interviews in the past. This one wasn’t really that bad. As far as the finish, I think he is really insecure and so he wants to do everything he can to win. Should be have been DQ’d? I am not sure but he does seem a bit on the shady side. Like dude stay in your lane.
I think you hit the nail on the head - Langon screams insecure. I had a brief conversation with him at Penn Relays two years ago - he came across as an intelligent, nice kid. Put a microphone in front of him and he goes into an act that is so exaggerated and off-putting. Marco - your life has had some tough times. However, the world is not out to get you - you have a great support system around you - be grateful for that support. Observe the world around you and take in how your competitors and coaches act - emulate them and let go of the “me against the world” persona.

Alpha? He's borderline cheating against someone who's playing by the rules. It's not really a show of strength or anything.
Man you insecure, macho guys go to such lengths to convince yourself the world of your importance, and convince yourself the world respects you. It's weird.
just watched him literally push Colton Sands. Are we kidding? that was entirely on purpose and you can't even say he did it out of tiredness. he smiled after doing it. just shows how ridiculous how the sport has become.
I think Langon is getting a bad rap for what seems to me to be a mild case of undiagnosed Autism / ASD. I am not saying this in a mean way, or excusing his behavior, but I think it lines up with some of his behaviors.
He has difficulty empathizing with or understanding others and his competitors, he seems to emulate a certain persona that he sees online (this is a big staple of ASD), difficulty making eye contact during interviews, obsessions around one specific hobby / activity. Oftentimes people with ASD don’t intend to come off as rude, it is more that they do not realize they are doing it

I just watched the first minute and a half of his post race interview with JG. That’s all I could stomach. This dude is a serious douche. He sounds like he believes he’s a ufc fighter. Usually these wannabe tough guys hardly ever make it as elite distance runners, as you have to have some level of level headedness, self control, and humility. He has none of those qualities. It’s surprising he’s had the success he’s had, shocking really. He doesn’t add anything to our sport except negativity.
Heavily disagree I love respect but to grow as a sport we need some douches no one watches this sport bc someone sets a wr, cr, or hs record and just walks off the track
That was ridiculous. And the idiot commentator is like "Marco Langon's legs just gave out on him!" Ummm, no. Your legs "giving out" doesn't make you move from lane 1 to lane 3 on the final straightaway and shove people. He even went for a tackle at the very end.
And Langon could easily have injured the runners behind him with his fake collapse if they were a little closer to him.
Langon has a future in WWE if his running career doesn't work out. Hugging on the young kid, smiling, and wearing a cross pendant to sell it as an honest accident. And then go shirtless in the interview to show off that upper body and maximize the douchedom... brilliant stuff!
Sands had that so easily if he hadn't been Chemilo'd.

My first reaction was "who? and who?"
My second reaction, after watching the video, was this was a pathetic and desperate DQ-worthy move.
Just make a rule that unless you're passing a lapped runner if you're in lane 1 and leading on the homestretch that you have to stay in lane 1 through the finish.
Shortest distance is a straight line. To do anything else is to impede.
This is actually too strict. Common to unconsciously drift to lane 2, especially when fatigued and on a tight indoor track. Judges should use their discretion. In this case they failed, this is an obvious DQ.

Stop making excuses for just plain acting like an A hole.

looks like something malmo would do
What the hell is the matter with you? Not in a trillion years. Why would you say such a stupid thing?

Horrible take. Horrible interview. mocking people, deeply insecure, grabbing John’s hand/camera to redirect. Who F does this guy think he is.
Also, of course he should have been DQd, you seem to be the only person who thinks otherwise.

I don’t think he’s on the spectrum. I see elements of psychopathy and sociopathic behavior. I think he is resentful and has developed a narcissistic identity of himself with an inability to relate to the people around him. He is purposefully coming across as rude, it’s intentional.
