Yeah I said 6th-15th... he indicates that 8th is more of the high-water mark, due to Europeans (who train like Andreas) being worse at XC. I'll definitely buy into the insight of training on terrain, and all that. I think the best NCAA XC runners is a bit misleading as Wolfe ran 12th, and was a very good XC runner but more was top of that bunch because he was the fittest, ditto Brian Fay. Nico and Morgan finishing as low as they did was more them not being at A-level fitness. I like that he gave such a detailed and logical response, though. It indicates that the best Western athletes at World XC would come from systems that do a lot of hills and trail running.
