Nico gave an interview with LR after the race, basically said he was a little disappointed with how he felt during the race but tried his best to tough it out. He seems focused on indoors and running faster/shorter stuff, and said his training didn’t change that much for cross because the shorter/faster stuff is what he seems to respond to. So let’s maybe wait to see what his next couple of races look like before we make judgements.
Also in a (very bad) TRE podcast episode with Parker and Ethan, they said that when the group splits up Parker and Nico usually work out together. They make it sound like it’s very individualized, so I don’t really see how this setup could be negatively affecting Nico.
