Just buy your own lot and build a track. (Tear down old buildings if necessary) Invite slightly faster runners to drag you around the track. Then, wear whatever shoes you want.
Just come to practice in whatever you have dog, it’s not that big of a deal at first. We would love to have you. Obviously it’d be nice to wear nike, but it’s not a big deal at first if you’re debating joining and are unsure. See you next Wednesday morning. - BTC member and nike employee
No, it wouldn't. I may even do so. I'm just shocked how angry everyone is about me thinking having to buy new shoes is something that could influence my decision. Maybe I'll do it, maybe I won't, but it does change the decision calculation and people are really mad about that for some reason.
Have you ever heard of putting the cart before the horse? Honest question
Bro, Nike is a cult. I witnessed an employee call security because some high school kids were running on the berm trail in non-Nike shoes. I wish I was kidding. If you want to run at Nike, wear Nike. Otherwise, there's plenty of other clubs. I know of at least 5 of varying levels that meet at Duniway Track for workouts.

Do any of them meet on Wednesday? Unfortunately Tuesday isn't great for me
