it looks like in 2024 she raced @ BU, Raleigh, Stanford, LA, Portland, Eugene, Memphis, LA again, Sweden & BU again. That's a lot of travel for a fake sport
You have a registered account on a niche running website and you're posting this garbage. Track and field fans never cease to surprise me.
Track and field has no fans. That’s why the pros have to glom onto the participation element and run the majors.
Could you imagine if the majors were just 25 elites running through cities? No one would care.
In summary, running is the best adult participation sport in the world and there’s no close second. Professional running is barely a sport at all.

Shrewd move by On. Doris Lemngole and Ceili McCabe, steeplers who will continue to make national teams for the rest of this decade, were signed last year and On will present a very attractive pro contract to Angelina Napoleon when she decides to turn pro. Olivia Markezich is next on the chopping block if she doesn't level up soon.
I like Tyler but feel like it's his time. Hoka gave him more than enough chances. he's been injured so much and last week in his marathon debut he was dreadful, was almost walking across the finish line. that may have been enough for Hoka to realize they've gone as far as they can with him. hes always talked about coaching, maybe this year he transitions.

At least he made it to the finish line. Tyler was with JP Flavin who went on to win at halfway. What about Paige who dropped out when things started to go south. Is she done too?

yes I saw that. NAZ Elite made a video following NAZ Coach Jack Mullaney around that day. I bet their expectation was to show off how good their team is but instead it was a disaster. Paige dropped out and Tyler was practically crawling. Jack must have begged the cameraman to delete the footage
Sometimes us "foreigners" forget that "following track" equals "following amateur and regional meaningless meets in Hicksville, USA and knowing everything about an 18 year old who just graduated from Billy Bob Senior High"
Most of us follow WORLD athletics and not your inbred, worthless local meets full of athletes who'll never leave your country.
Dimwit. NCAA track is far more exciting than boring ho-hum predictable Diamond League.
Now go home & get your shine box; come back and clean my shoes.
Eric Holt just posted that he got dropped by Puma.
That sucks. He’s a good dude.
Good post by Holt:
Running professionally is a roller coaster. Unfortunately, on January 1, my contract with Puma expired. I have nothing but good things to say about running for Puma, and I met some amazing people at the company.
I’ll always be thankful that I got a contract for the first time well after I graduated college. At the time, a lot of people told me it would never happen. I’m glad I kept working hard and that I helped prove that it’s not just college studs who can make a splash on the pro circuit. I also couldn’t have done it without the support I’ve gotten from all of you.
With all that said, I’m not close to hanging up the spikes. I’m fit and ready for my best indoor season yet. After running a 1500 PR last year, I know I still have room to grow under @JohnTrautmann and @EmpireElite. I’m at altitude right now, ready to run fast at the Dr. Sanders Invitational.
This is a tough year for a lot of runners. There’s no Olympics and no World Championship, and a lot of brands are cutting back on sponsorships. In times like this, your support means a lot. If you see me, keep cheering!
I’ve always thought the best things in life don’t come easy, and running has certainly shown me that. I may be #unsponsored again, but I’m still living my dream. It’s a blessing to have people who believe in you.
There’s still unfinished business! See you on the track.

not all contracts are equal. She wasn't on some big time deal like Valby or Tuohy got when they left college. She was likely getting gear and maybe travel stipends.
She also placed 3rd in the steeplechase at NCAAs while she was still at Wofford. I think that history, coupled with the momentum from being a pretty All-American on the title-winning NC State team, probably gave her enough cache to get a small contract. I would guess that On expected her to use the 5k/10k strength she built during her time at NC State and turn it back to the steeple. Other than her REDS issues, I'm not sure why she didn't go back to trying the event she initially had the most success in (though of course it's evolved a lot in the US since her 3rd place finish).
also she swiped Sean McGorty and got an engagement while she was at it.

Yeeesh Wayment had an off year by her standards but will still make teams in the future.

I assumed that Wayment could have renewed with On but needed to switch to Nike to stay with Coach Taylor - everyone with a Nike Swoosh coach was grandfathered in on their prior contract but when it renewed has to either find a new coach or sign with Nike. I guess it's possible that On dropped her (or didn't re-sign her) because they knew she'd switch to Nike but I don't see this as the same situation as some of the others who were dropped without anything lined up. She clearly had her Nike contract ready to go as soon as her On contract expired.
