Yes Ghost 1 , It's so sad when super talented young runners just throw away this by birth given oportunity to become a great runner. Had been understandable if he had got a severe injury that stopped his running career , but in this case the cause he didn't know how to train smart and effective and refused to have a very experienced coach to guide him. So sad really......
May we encourage you to renew contact with this runner and give your training system a try. It might suit him.
Hi Ghost 1 . 🖐As you also told he is very stubborn . I have already tried couple of times to try persuade him to be coached by me or return to his father for coaching, but he just tells it's impossible for him to follow a coach telling him what to do in training. So unfortunately he throws away his great talent ....so sad really. 🥵
Well we all know that with those times he will not get a lucrative paycheck he needs a real job. In running you gotta win races in order to to make some money and in order to sign decent contracts you gotta be able to make to WC or Olympic Games otherwise is basically just a hobby that is basically an obsession that makes those runners basically losers lol serious runners must have a plan B. Running will not be a career path for the immense majority of runners and even for those that make it most runners career don’t last long.
You are right an elite runner needs a plan A and plan B in case plan A didn't work out as hoped for .......but this runner never understood what plan A needed to come true.
why is it a "wasted career? because some running message board loser thinks someone should be racing because he has a talent that he doesn't want to fulfill? this personal looks to have made a choice on what they want to focus on in their life and that's what is important to them, not you.
Those times don't really get you anything. No national teams, no meaningful money, just entries to races where you can get 12th place and not qualify for anything. So the only point in running is if you enjoy it, apparently this person doesn't want to train 15-20 hours per week for those results.

Well, you have to concider those times done when he was age 19 !! And he did train around 14-15 hours per week later on in Kenya but he forgot ( or didn't know) that much training needs recovery and you can't mess around at staying out late nights.Added to this he did the wrong training.

Absolutely correct and most of his training was either tempo running or progressive running at between 3 minutes and 4 minutes per kilometer not allowing much recovery and in many ways similar to another wonder kid Julien Wanders. Wanders (3:39/7:47/13:13/27:17/59:13/2:11:50) was also at his peak around 2019 and 2020 when this kid was also at his peak. Tragic.
Ghost, I cannot urge you strongly enough to stop using the word 'monster'. In some spheres I have heard it used similar to 'freak' or 'beast' to denote an impressive athlete, especially in strength. But it is always followed by 'athlete', 'performance' or something similar, e.g. 'he put his team on his shoulders in a monster peformance'.
When the word monster is used in different phrases, it has a very different connotation. When you use 'monster' as in 'the French monster' or 'monster, Julien Wanders' it signifies some sort of evil-ness. When the word monster is used in this phrasing, it is normally to describe someone who has carried out a punishable crime, often sex-crimes. For example, a tabloid may publish a headline 'high school teacher caught out in monster act' or 'French monster deported following court hearing'.
