I actually love non-binary stuff. It's always driven me nuts we have a male bathroom and female bathroom at starbucks. Why not just a bathroom like my house? I've also thought it's crazy in normal English there isn't a gender neutral singular term for he/she.
This would be the perfect case for it as some made up mascot may not have a sex.
What drives me nuts is biological males or female telling me they aren't male or female and then requiring me to call them by a special name mid-race or mid-podcast. What happens if a race has six women and six-non-binary. Is the announcer supposed to retire immediately if they slip up once?

Because you would essentially be telling a large chunk of the female population to stay home. Plenty of women aren't comfortable using gender neutral bathrooms for fear of hidden cameras, intimidation, privacy reasons surrounding pad/tampon changes etc. It's not the same as your home bathroom where you know who's using it, and know if they're someone you feel safe with or not.
If it's Polish then Gooski would be a snappy name. Are there free tickets for the winning suggestion ? I'll provisionally book the time off work for next year. If no free tickets I'll settle for a golden egg from Gooski.

I’m actually shocked that they wasted time voting on this, rather than immediately naming the mascot “Yared” and calling it a day. Any other option is cheesy and inferior, and they’re spinning their wheels with them.
