You know what sounds brain dead? Calling kids dumb. Doesn’t matter if you’re 25 or 65, if you can’t accept that the trends of today’s youth aren’t based around you and just roll with it then you’re old.
Crib notes for someone who can't watch Youtube right now?
It's a dumb meme that allegedly comes from rapper Skrilla's song "Doot Doot," in which he repeats the numbers 6 and 7. It took off on TikTok and YouTube shorts. Kids use the repetition of the numbers to annoy their teachers and parents.
I heard about this from my kid who confirmed that it had no meaning and was pretty similar to someone with tourette syndrome the way it is used. School disruption and annoyance are the point. The words are irrelevant.
Punish with a 670 word essay explaining the meaning and relevance on first offense. Detention 2nd offense. Suspension 3rd offense. That should stop it fairly quickly.
Unfortunately, kids see certain politicians blurting out nonsense everyday with the primary intent of causing division, annoyance and stopping the flow of factual information with no consequences. This is how that kind of influence manifests itself in young people.

lol... "we can't impose adequate consequenses on our own generation for doing actual evil stuff so punish the kids for their meaningless fads!"

In defense of the movie, Bill and Ted were cartoonishly stupid, and you were supposed to make fun of them. The point of the movie was that they evolved and their pursuit for knowledge was the crowning achievement of the film.
go back and watch the movie again. They are big losers in the beginning of the movie. The cool kids are the football players.

I can understand why schools banned the Hawk tua thing with its connotation. But banning "six seven" is ridiculous. It is a meaningless phrase that will eventually run its course...

Just let kids have their fun with this dumb saying. It isn't something that needs to be punished especially because, as you say, it has no meaning.
