4:25 first mile for the men! Great day for running (54 degrees) though there is a bit of wind -- 9 mph. The wind is out of the southeast and the first mile runs south to north, so that may explain the very fast opening split.
Almost a little emotional. I'm tuned in to watch the Chicago marathon and I'm actually watching the Chicago marathon, more so than local wheelchairers.
The coverage is really good so far. When they cut away to the wheelchairs almost immediately after the start, the commentator was quick to explain that the camera feed was going to cut out while the runners were going through a tunnel. That gave me hope that they actually care about covering the race.
