This guy (a 1:46 800 runner) has lived in the US for decades, got a PhD, and got a great job in education in Iowa (my home state). Sure, anyone can come to America LEGALLY. He was not here legally once his employment authorization card expired in 2020. The justification for detention and removal is a removal order issued by an immigration judge in May 2024. So there is justification for removal, you just don’t agree with it.
