That whole Americans being obnoxious and loud thing is overplayed. I believe that moniker started in the 70s and 80s with middle-class American vacationers traveling abroad for the first time. Perhaps culturally Americans coming from bigger spaces do talk a little louder, certainly so compared to Asians and perhaps the British and possibly the Germans. However, I never noticed any appreciable difference with the Irish, Greek, Portuguese, Italians and any other Europeans. The obnoxious thing was never true in the way it was projected. Americans come from a place of abundance; we are used to a certain level of service, and we can be little inpatient when things are not up to the level we are accustomed too. Most Americans are fairly nice by nature; in fact, I would say Americans are definitely nicer than Europeans. Obnoxious was never the correct word, we are just different. Nowadays when Americans are in Europe, they go out of their way to counteract this narrative, yet some Europeans still cling to this worn-out cliché.

It’s still true; I have so many examples of it. I’m American btw; it’s so embarrassing. That’s not to say other people don’t have their quirks.
There are nice and not nice people from every country.
America has its share of wonderful people. No question.
But America dominates in extroversion in social situations, it is so obvious and repeated so much that it is not an overplayed myth. It is fact.
Every time I visit the USA, I come away with the same impression. Heavy consumerism, loud people, gregarious and and gauche.
Nothing subtle about America.
I don’t fit in with this, but don’t disagree.
Maybe that’s why Japan is my favorite country I’ve visited. It’s quiet even in Tokyo. No body even honks their horn unless absolutely necessary.
We got some loud people for sure, and it’s not exclusive to a single race, socioeconomic or political status.
Scottish comedian Fern Brady does a great bit about American overconfidence. Worth checking out if you have time.
I think there are enough Americans to have different levels of ridiculousness, but I live in the DC area so … yeah, a lot of people brimming with confidence with little to show for it.

I disagree!
I am also an American who has lived in Europe, in several countries for several years. I saw situations were a European would encounter an American simply talking loud somewhere as if this one person is the representative of all the Americans who travel to Europe. From my perspective, this and a lot of the other negative stereotypes stem from jealously. Some other monikers are fat, ugly and stupid. America and Americanism can be so pervasive in Europe at times that it starts to drown out their own culture...this bothers a lot of people, and these negative prejudgments are perhaps a way to knock us down a peg.

We've been annoying Europeans for a lot longer than that. During WW2, the British soldiers were fond of saying, "The problem with the Americans is they’re overdressed, they’re overpaid, they’re oversexed, and they’re over here."
Yeah, well, they are locking people up in England for freedom of speech issues, or lack thereof. Best be careful she doesn't have someone there "perceive offensive language" and turn her in to the authorities.
All of the EU is bankrupt, bleeding jobs from loss of the cheap Russian gas, population has turned against their own governments and being enslaved to fund their own replacement by hostile invaders, and the EU's only plan seems to get into World War III with Russia in order to stay in power by getting all the disgruntled peasants dead.
Do British people not realize they’re the Americans of Europe?
I believe the correct phrase is "they're the Florida of Europe"
The state government of Florida isn't complicit in Muslim pedo grooming white slavery rings. Britain can only dream of being the Florida of Europe, in fact that's what all the protests are about, aspiring to be Florida.

The stellar irony of someone who clearly does their own research on a lot of topics, but believes anything they read on social media when it suits

Keely is actually gross. I wonder why her group runs so well. Hmmmmmm let’s think about her and her trading partner.
Keely’s face is extremely swollen all the time. Either she has a natural fat face with a fit body or she’s swollen from the obvious PED’s.
“Anabolic steroids Can cause water retention (bloating), which sometimes makes the face look puffy or “moon-shaped.” Long-term use can also affect fat distribution”
