Has anyone brought up this conspiracy theory yet? I just saw the Constant Gardener. Perhaps the top end doping doctors around the world field test their new doping agents in Kenya and Ethiopia. If they don't work, or they are caught by tests, or someone dies as a result, no big deal (to the doctors). If they do work, they sell them for big bucks to the wealthy athletes in other sports.

What is funny is that everyone wants to compare the U.S. guys to these phenoms and it is not apples to apples. Teg almost beats him in the Pre 2 mile (Feleke makes up 5 yards in the last 200 and outkicks Teg) Then Teg proceeds to run very nicely at USATF and his first race in Europe. Look at what Feleke has done (it is a different world and illustrates very nicely why the U.S. can not be compared to these guys in Ethiopia and Kenya, etc.)

They will cheat and get away with it because so many white officials are scared to call them on things like putting a guy 25 in a jr. race. That's the way it is right now. Super runners. Doesn't mean they have super morals, although I suspect it's their Federations more so than the runners trying to gain "jr" recognition.

It is not possible for a human being to run under 13 for 5,000meters at the AGE OF 16!

He could be a star in the coming seasons -- definitely a talent to watch. Beijing next month could be big.

I dont think your getting the point. No one is doubting his talent. The MAN is clearly very skilled at distance running, but in no way is he a "KID". So what if you met him, how does that justify is lie about his age. Once again, it is not possible to run a sub 13 5k at age 16.

Just think about it.... How much of a base can you develop to back you up if you've barly been alive long enough to even train. Think of all of the years of hard training tht guys like Ritz, Webb, and Bro put into there training. None of them have done it. Despite there experiance, skill, and age. at age 16 your still going through PUBERTY and are still growing. Its not possible, not even fathomable. Its even been said earlyier in this thread. The guy just appeared on the world scene last year.
