He has to be disqualified based on the rule. You can't randomly bump the impacted guy up a spot. Maybe he would have been higher or lower. Nobody has an answer as to what happens if a hurdle turns a competitor's hurdle sideways so that he can't jump it.
I’m not a 400H coach, but we’ve all been hearing what’s going on in the stadium and have seen the video too. It’s clear the Nigerian was affected—he had to overstride the last hurdle, and that changed the race for him. I’m hearing they are going back to DQ for Rai. It’s sad to see it, but he hit the hurdle and affected the other runner
I just watched the race back - the Nigerian runner made no adjustment in his stride at all, cleared the hurdle with no issue. No DQ.
That’s not true—he clearly impeded the Nigerian. By hitting the hurdle into the other lane, he caused the athlete next to him to reach and overstride, which is interference. The rules are clear: if you impede another runner by knocking over a hurdle, it’s a DQ. I’m leaving the stadium now—the decision is coming and it will stick

You are mistaken. Nathaniel himself says it didn't have an impact on his race. He thinks Rai deserves the gold.
Just rewatched the race and there’s no reason that Benjamin should be DQ’d. Nathaniel didn’t lose any time on hurdle 10 and nothing would’ve gotten him the bronze

Who uses em-dashes on their phone keyboard?
AI does...
Or a coach who is at the stadium.-you pick
LRC Note: We do not believe that GoCats is in the stadium. They are posting from a VPN that they set to Tokyo,

Or someone who knows how to write. It's not hard--the phone just does it automatically when you have two words joined by a double dash. On a laptop, it's trickier..
