Private schools are just "pay to win." Any remotely talented kid who is also affluent could simply just ditch his hometown to join a comparable program with a group of other talented runners doing the same thing. Just unfair garbage these schools.
Meanwhile you have public schools that get what they get depending on the area they're in, and work with what they have. The total opposite situation. Yet these private schools can compete against them.

Private schools are awesome, went to them my whole life. Winning! Sympathy for being in norcal.......

in track, just off the top of my head Bullis, Monteverde Academy, Union Catholic, IMG (heck IMG had an Australian on their team LY along with girls from PA and MI).. Alll of those schools take kids from way outside of their area

Oh yes the ol "better education" that's just a euphemism. C'mon man people have been saying that for years and we ALL know what it really means.

But that doesn't really matter, it's just better being separate. That's what private school parent want (to be separate) so that's what they got (separation). Now they get to have their own private school championship, and the public schools have theirs. There are ample chances to compete away from TSSAA if they want to mix it up.

Lastly, I went to a private high school for 3 years, and transferred to my local public high school for my senior year. 40 years later I can tell you there's not much difference in the lives of those that graduated from public school compared to the private school kids. Those that have the motivation to succeed will find a way to succeed.

I teach in a public school. This year, I got four transfer students from two different private schools. All og them said they were taught nothing, and feel lost. So much for the "better education".

I don’t mind the private schools but don’t like clubs showing up and winning middle school states. clubs should be banned.

They don't even have MS states for school teams in my state. I didn't think many states did.

It’s new and I think put on by somebody that’s not affiliated with the state
