The whole situation is honesty just sad. On a day where the main story should be praise for Beamish’s incredible achievement, Farken has to make everything about himself and throw a hissy fit that would put my toddler to shame. All because he got 9th in the semi instead of 8th…
What in the world does this have to do with anything? Did you not see el bakkali let up the last 45 meters?
Farken has simply accepted the decision. He even stated that hocker did not effect him, which is going above and beyond being a good sport and being as altruistic as possible. This is rare for farken, who is typically pretty boastful on instagram. Put yourself in his shoes. Would you be debating the judges who just handed you a ticket into the final?
The whole issue issue here is that someone who has virtually zero chance of medaling in the final was wrongfully let into the final, and the Olympic gold medalist was ostracized out of it by a poorly qualified rules judge. All because the rest of the field and the powers-that-be know hocker has a weapon that the others dont. Watch all of it again. The last 400 seems as though the field intentionally boxed in hocker to stop him from utilizing his kick. Why is that legal?
All of this is coming from me, a massive kerr fan, who doesn't even like hocker. Like him or not, Cole got screwed. Big time. Why even be involved in it if unavoidable competitive bumping is an automatic DQ? someone just hates America.
