Huge jump from 459.5k last evening to 494.7k to Wednesday morning (9/10/25) Things start looking a little strange. Also there are no updates on social media since day 2.
I guess the race is on between Robert Young, William Goodge and Stephane Mathieu who is the better cheater.
He runs with 2 connected garmin and 2 tags. He Will share with everybody ask for. You can also meet him on the road if you want. You will never see a motorhome running at 15km/h in front of a gas station at 2am with the runner inside (remember Robert Young).
I know guys of the crew and i'm sure if there is something wrong, they will let him on the side of the road instantly.
I should be with them from sept 6 to sept 15, but a health problem came 2 weeks before... if i had a little doubt of his probity, i'll never accept.
So please, before compare with RY, wait a minute. Thank you.

(Sorry for my english. Hier you understood)
Well, I hope I am wrong. But they are in a very remote area now and it's easy to say that you can meet him on the road. If you go for a record you need to be transparent.
Please send us a link to his Garmin if you have it. Thank you.
Why do you even bring Goodge into this conversation? His USA transcon was 20 miles per day under Pete. And slower than the current and former women record holders.
Also looking forward to day 4 update. Going into a pretty tough mental area now, with no vegetation and long, straight roads with crazy fast cars/trucks.
TRANS USA D5 GOOD MORNING NEVADA! Adventure is adventure and D4, which was supposed to be "light", ended up being a very long day with 110 km more on the clock... End of stage after 2am on a "shortcut" of 35 km off-road (crossing a stream and car almost getting stuck in the sand) which ended across the field to find the camper van and the tarmac of US 6. Stéphane slept well and didn't leave again this morning until 8:15am to tackle 450 km of Nevada and cross his 500th km in 4 days and a few hours, and soon already a first time zone. The guys really don't get bored on this Trans America! (Summary of a 3-minute phone conversation with Xavier Servel, who struggles in his spare time with Garmin watch files to update the website) We're promised that Day 5 should be a "light" day...
Obviously there are no light days in any Transcon record attempt.
There are now on a very remote stretch until Delta, NV at 1100k. A good 350 miles of nothingness. And I just noticed they have selected some weird backroads from Lund, NV cutting out the stretch up to Ely on the main road. I hope they have properly researched that.
The route from 840k to 900k is absolutely crazy. Jean-benoît, please tell them that they should stay on the main route unless they have local guidance and proper 4WD cars.

Thank you so much for your advice! I have forwarded your information to them. What they did to prepare the trip is they took Jenny Hoffmann's (female record holder) route and then tried to shortcut the distance as much as possible, obviously it's risky!
