When I went vegan 2yrs ago, my body odor went away basically and I stopped using deodorant. Any body smell actually smelt good now on vegan--unlike before when I ate chicken and dairy, deodorant was necessary.
I will offer the alternate hypothesis that maybe it was also the deodorant that helped give the body odor. So basically deodorant is a sales gimmick.
I don't wear it most of the time. I've noticed that I don't usually need it, but will wear it when going to an appointment or meeting a group of people. Sweating and showering often does help.
Here's a trick I learned 30 years ago. Take a shower and use a non-moisturing soap in your armpits. Then, after you dry off, splash some rubbing alcohol into the palm of your hand and rub it all around the armpit area.
Part of the problem with smell is that merely washing doesn't get all the bacteria off the skin so after your shower, it starts multiplying again immediately after the shower. The alcohol kills the bacteria. You'll still smell after you sweat, but it won't be as bad and it won't start smelling nearly as soon.
Save the deoderant for when you're in a business meeting or other situation when you're going to be stressed or sweaty.
That said, some people are prone to getting smelly faster than others. If that's you, well, then use deoderant.

Thats a lot of nonsense. Just go natural. I’m vegan and I don’t stink. Try not eating meat.
1. Body smells are erotic and sexual. Capitalists don’t like that because they are impotent and opposed to all manifestations of sensuality and sexuality. Sexually awakened people are potentially dangerous to capitalists and their rigid, asexual system.
Body smells are unique. Everyone has her own body smell. Capitalists don’t like individuality. There are millions of body smells but only a few deodorant smells. Capitalists like that. Some
OP is a troll obviously but he’s onto a trend I see out there. As someone who sells deodorant for a living, I love it when people tell me this. It’s hilariously out of touch as they always say “they don’t need it” when I guarantee 99.9% of people do. (Household penetration of deodorant is about 90%, so 10% of the pop don’t wear it.) Sweat and dirt causes bacteria to form in all your crevices and leads to bacterial growth. Some people are worse than others, but everyone sweats. (Stress sweat smells worse than workout sweat) Deodorant and soap do not cause bacterial growth. (At least not the stuff the big companies make. I can’t speak for the people making it out of their garages to sell at farmers markets.) Last dude at the gym to tell me he didn’t wear it (because he didn’t need to) smelled real bad midway through his workout. I recommend natural options for those people. Do people around you a favor and buy a stick of deodorant and apply generously.
Animals have souls man. I recently drove over a opossum, my first animal kill, it made me sad, then my firealarm went off (ghosts lower the surrounding temperature). Explain that. Three super rare events happening at near the same time. I also watched a skinning and gutting video before the opossum's demise just in case shtf. Eating meat causes violence. This somehow reminded me a childhood show:

Time and time again since I was a teenager I’ve been told to wear deodorant. I don’t want to wear it. You think our ancestors wore deodorant? If you wear deodorant you take away an essential human trait. Our feralness and the animals we once were. There’s something intoxicating about our smell that deodorant, cologne and perfume destroys. Does anyone else here also not wear deodorant? I think it’s one of the great scams. What do you think?
