SAD to hear. hopefully this is much ado about nothing, but obviously doesn't sound good.
Hopefully after her races The Announcer asks her what happened and she goes into deep detail so everyone knows, but some Lawyers tell their clients not to discus the case, So it probably wont be discussed after her races
Lol why is there 4000 comments debating assault vs battery and not more of a discussion on America's biggest track star literally being arrested before the biggest meet of her year
Sea-Tac is kind of a rough airport, where sketchy characters will wander in off the gritty Seattle streets and launch troubles and mischief in the outermost waiting areas.

Why is this in Washington? Was she at Seatac Airport or something?
Presumably she was the airport connecting to a flight to Eugene.
Raestake reported earlier in the week on twitter that she had been arrrested. After we saw that, we contacted the Seattle airport on Tuesday but they didn't respond. I guess public records just get posted automatically or something.
Here is Raestake and TheErinBrown talking about it on July 29
I debated having Jonathan ask her about it last night but he felt it would have been in appropriate. I would have had him preface it by saying, "RaesTake on twitter said you were arrested over the weekend in Seattle. Is there any truth to it?"

tough spot. I would consider asking her about it privately. but not publicly. you have to ask the hard questions when they're directly related to the sport, but this isn't that, so okay to let it breathe before figuring it out. Time and place.

Shacarri does a lot stuff that makes you scratch your head, but I wouldn't call her a sketchy character.
“Just outside of the screening area, Richardson is following and getting close to Coleman several times as Coleman appears to be trying to walk away. Richardson then pushes Coleman hard enough that it sends him crashing into a nearby column.”
The report continues:
“Coleman continues to try to walk away in an effort to get away from Richardson but she continues to bump into him and get into his personal space. She again pushes Coleman, again hard enough that it sends him flying a few feet away.”
Per Sportsmax, we will not see her for the rest of the champs

Richardson competed in the 100m on Thursday and placed second in her heat, but she will take no further part in the competition. She has also withdrawn from the 200m. As the defending world champion in the 100m, Richardson is automatically qualified for the 2025 World Championships, but is required to appear at the national championships to demonstrate fitness.
Well, who called the cops? Or did they witness this encounter and intervened? Cops do nothing but escalate almost any conflict or confrontation which then gives them an excuse to wield unnecessary force to "quell" the situation.
