This is seriously damning, basically proof USATF and USADA do in fact cover up these things. I had my suspicions about US sprinting when you see how many of them set PB's in college where there's no testing, and then barely come close to it as a pro.
Would be very interesting to go back through history and see US athletes who have disappeared for 1/2 years with no explanation. I'm thinking 19' world champ Michael Cherry, potentially Erriyon Knighton currently, I haven't heard from that Charleston guy since he won USA's, Where's Michael Norman been recently?
Speaking of, where's Terrance Laird? He was burning up the track a few years ago but haven't heard from him since.
The only track Laird was burning up was the college scene. He never made an impression on the pro circuit.
He had no shot at being an NFL Player, Yes he was good in High School, But then again so was Grant Hollowaydo you think Grant Holloway could make the NFL? not a chance, Maybe they could get a tryout as a Publicity Gimmick, like Andre The Giant did, but Remember it is a lot harder to make it to the NFL then be a top Track Athlete.
The Money is in Football so all the best athletes gravitate to Football, The Top Track stars are just rejects who could not cut it in football.

High School QB, Held the World Record 110m hurdles for 10 years, NFL receiver with SF 49ers for 3 seasons (the average career for an NFL player is 3.3 years). How about Willie Gault who made 1980 Olympic team and was an NFL All Pro receiver for over a decade? He played 11 seasons in NFL and made an Olympic team in 110m hurdles.

So is this all tied into the Lira case? Bracy-Williams used to train with the Reider group which included Okagbare and Oduduru.
Nah, Bracy was with Star Athletics (Dennis' group) when this happened. He was given the doping doctor's # by Rae Edwards. Dennis Mitchell actually uses the same doctor, allegedly - so USATF/Nike covering up Dennis' wider doping might be the reason none of this has been publicised.
Ok. I was just putting 2+2 together as Rae is based out of Texas (though a long away from El Paso), and Rae was working as a coach for the Nigerian sprint teams not too long ago.
It is not a very large leap to infer why a certain female 400m hurdler and now making the switch to flat only runs in USADA events and avoids WADA like the plague.

Of course many parts of this don’t make sense. Why is this under wraps for one? Why would Mitchell burn his own supplier? Did Bracy ever even test positive? Why of all people would you go to Rae (the biggest loudmouth in track) to connect you to a drug supplier?
Rae has said Mitchell was both pissed that the Dr. worked with Bracy and also didn’t know he did before reporting Bracy. That doesn’t add up, which is kinda why you need to take anything he says with a grain of salt.

- Bracy gets an injection in his leg of some kind of PED that leaves him unable to participate in practice that same day.
- Bracy tells coach Dennis Mitchell that he cannot participate in practice, thinking that Mitchell will understand because according to Rae a lot of Mitchell’s athletes see the same doctor.
- Mitchell tells USADA what Bracy said and July 2023 USADA provisionally suspends Bracy.
- Rae claims Mitchell snitched because Mitchell didn’t want other athletes using this same doctor (which IMO seems less plausible than Mitchell thinking the whole thing was a setup or Mitchell being afraid Bracy would test positive and throw him under the bus).
- Rae claims he has been provisionally suspended by USADA since October 2024 for aiding and abetting Bracy.
- Rae has not claimed that Bracy ever tested positive (remember that Jon Drummond was busted based on Tyson Gay’s claims that he used banned substances JD was aware of at the Olympics, even though Gay was tested at the Olympics and never came back positive, not even on retest)
- The speculation from others is that this involves Eric Lira, but I’m not sure the timeline is plausible for that unless there were some fairly large delays between Bracy telling Mitchell and USADA issuing the suspension.
(My commentary) With any USADA case, the initial suspension is provisional until the case has been adjudicated, and normally this provisional suspension is not public.
*Typically* USADA uses various methods to get the matter adjudicated quickly, so the secret part of the suspension doesn’t last long, but if the athlete (or the people around them) want to blow a bunch of money on lawyers, that can drag the process on.
Demi Payne was provisionally suspended for 2.5 years before her ban was announced. USADA claims the delay was due to an anonymous tip that someone spiked the drinks at the meet she tested positive at.
Eliud Ngetich was an even weirder case. He tested positive in 2014, his ban was not announced until 2021, and it was backdated and he had competed during that time. USADA claims he provided substantial assistance, but it is not clear how or that his assistance led to anyone else getting charged.
I don’t think I have ever seen anyone under a provisional suspension make that information public, and I’m super curious if USADA will try to take any other action for Rae exposing Bracy, if what Rae is saying is true, that he is involved in the case.

Jon Jones in the UFC got a USADA pass for snitching according to USADA. Had his 4 year ban reduced to ~9 months of which he wasn't scheduled fight anyway. Just like the famous MLB starting pitcher suspensions of 4 games when they only start every fifth game anyway so moot.
