Jane has already surpassed every PB of the mentioned athletes and how often has she been injured in her historical senior season? Jane is not like them (homeage to popular rap song).

Ask Lane, Tuohy, Riggs, Dudek, Hart, Hutchins, Shea, Baxter, Thorvaldson, Ewert, Masciarelli, Cook, Starliper etc.
Stuff happens, often injury related that makes a vast majority of the 'sure things' turn out not to be.
Cook finished 7th at XC Nats her freshman year.
I dont coach girls. But if I was the byu girls coach, I would redshirt jane h.

True, but there was much hype that Cook could win based on her hs records.
If Hedengren finished 7th, the hype machine would see that as a disappointment.
Cook also basically has disappeared after that race due injury.
I see no reason to rank Jane outside of the top 5 in preseason rankings. I think beating Doris or Pamela would be a tall order, but at least on paper she belongs with Hartman, Bunnage, Hilda (if Hilda returns to form). How she will fare in her first National meet, I guess we will see in November.
Where are those posts? Most people were surprised that she finished 7th. I expected her to be about 15th.
Without digging into it, 7th sounds correct. I wouldn't be shocked if she won nor would I be shocked if she finished 17th.

Rainsberger (another high school star) finished 4th as a freshman after only 11th at regionals to help Oregon win Nats in 2016

Do you agree with FloTracks way too early x country prediction of Jane not finishing in the top 5?
Top 3
1. Doris Lemngole
2. Pamela Kosegi
3. Grace Hartman (thought she was a senior)
and they have Jane slotted to finish 7th. Your thoughts?
Predicting the finish of a 12th grader moving up to NCAA is several orders harder than pre season NCAA football rankings.

Thank the good Lord you don't coach girls.

You don't coach anyone.
When do the boys you coach at the university in San Antonio compete, Coach Dahl?

You're a lousy historian. No one was picking Cook to win.

Fortunately Dahl doesn't coach anyone at all.

I would redshirt jane her 4th year in college of she was on my team. I would go
Fresh- compete
Soph- compete
Redshirt year, rest and improve
Senior- compete.
After this go pro if she doesn't want to start a family.

Fake coach Dahl claims he would redshirt Jane her 4th year in college which he thinks is her junior year. Dahl is a total idiot.
I believe Ally Mac was the best CU freshman at 5th in the ncaa well ahead of Hasay. One of her only college races.
