my interpretation is that bobby himself doesnt like to travel. he says weird things like, we race in the us because we are trying to make us teams. an argument that makes less sense since hes coaching world/ all-time greats.

Thanks for the link and timestamp. His argument of travel time, time difference, different language and food etc. doesn’t make much sense to me. Runners across all distances travel to international meets all the time. It takes a couple days more at best compared to traveling across the country that also takes a few days. Very strange argument and disrespectful to other countries.
