On the contrary, EL G won every 1500m race on the circuit for years after all his olympique defeats. 0/6 is not a good sign. Thats not a sign of a legit clean olympic champion.
This is accurate here. Yet wonder how this board crucifies ElG at the first chance by raising his religion as a factor. I call BS on that. Look at your own Hockers and Nuguses first and ask how honest they are before casting aspersions elsewhere. 0/20 and 0/6 is a huge red flag for Hocker. His credibility is all but sealed with GST Phil.
Spurious reasoning. The guy most likely to be on drugs is the one who can run at an A+ level for months on end with no signs of fatigue.
Hocker fits the profile of a clean runner. Someone who has to time his peak just right.

Hocker's profile: a 3:30 high / 3:31 guy from summer of 2021 to May 2024 (1500m and mile equivalents), who suddenly, in a single race goes sub 3:30, sub 3:29 and sub 3:28 in summer '24 and then returns to being a 3:30-3:31 guy afterwards ...
Hocker’s profile: a guy who’s gotten better every year except the one year he was injured, and a guy who consistently runs his best in championship races.

Textbook peak performance when it matters most.
Let’s not kid ourselves, it’s definitely a little suspicious. At this point though, I’ll assume he is clean based on documenting of workouts on YT
I'm admittedly a huge Hocker fan but hat's off to Kerr yesterday for putting himself in position to kick to the win. Hocker continues try different race tactics and seems to always find himself boxed in a rail with 350m to go. Until he can figure out how to position himself better I expect a lot more 2nd and 3rd place finishes.
Hocker's race IQ is 80ish. He just constantly gets himself trapped in lane 1 down the homestretch. During the race, he randomly bounces around everywhere with no plan. He would have won at least 2 of these races if he raced as intelligently as Kerr.
It's not fair to compare him to other Olympic champions, though. The event has never been this deep with talent. Hocker, Jakob, Kerr, Nuguse, and Kessler are so close in ability that anyone can win on any given day. And then there's Wanyonyi.
Here he is as a Fall Creek Middle School 6th grader, unseeded, about to take down a bunch of eighth graders who have been beating him all season. This is just the way he rolls, he has a history of being ready when he toes the line in championship races..
Centro won the Olympics and never won a Diamond League his entire career. That said, Hocker does need to be more consistent. He can't just show up for championships. I'm sure he's aware of that. On the other hand the alternative is Jakob, who wins every Diamond League and loses every championship.
pretty sure very few care that he won paris outside of LR?? and even then. literally kerr and jakob getting more attention from a silver and bronze medal out of pure personality. sometimes a medal isnt enough for caring if the (his) swag is severely below par.

Cole Hocker doesn’t care about that, so why would you?

As opposed to Hocker and Kerr who lose "every" championship AND every Diamond League?

how do you know he doesnt care? he got the olympic glory but if that's not followed by (expected) celebrity status, endless chatter and talking about him, etc (all which translates into sponsorship potential and $$$), that really speaks about the athlete as a true idol figure. there are 1000s more fans of jakob and/or kerr than hocker, and i dont think even a backtoback medal in LA would fix the root problem
