Well I have to say, I don't know how exactly they have done it, but the stadium (and a perfect sized one for this type of meet) looking 95% full does wonders for the presentation and my general interest in this. Field events - also not a bad thing.

This actually isn't bad at all. I find the normal commentating recipe pretty boring. This is more like tuning in with your friends who care about running & don't care about coming across as boring as possible

Obviously it’s easy to say this after the fact, but what the heck was Teare doing in that race. The travel and weather were always going to make that tough.
Cheruiyot’s kick was pretty impressive, but I don’t feel like we learned anything about his 5k potential since the race was so slow. Let’s hope we see him in a sub-13 race next.
Will be interesting if Reynold considers a move up…he just smoked Kurgat/Kemboi who’ve made previous teams. Kwemoi has been unimpressive this year. So has Krop. Meanwhile he might be a tad short on speed for the 1500. We’ll see.

With how rough those conditions were…I wonder if it’s worth about 10s in good weather. That would place that as a 13:06 type mark. I’d say that’s good enough to posit he could be a threat in championship style racing/Kenyan trials.

Yeah, that was frustrating. It's understandable for a startup league to not get everything right, but I expect an established entity like the Diamond League to have its live results page in working order.
Reekie's form is just light years better than it was...props to however they fixed that.

Nelly Chepchirchir looks way better. I'd expect her to be a factor like in 2023 after a rough Paris last year. Phanuel Koech is a very promising Kenyan who joined the 2RunningClub group and ran 1:47-flat in an 800m semi yesterday looking easy after his 3:56-flat at Adidas' road mile, and some good XC results. Would expect him to be a potential new stud in the 1500.
