Brosnan finally got his pro group

they had better hire some designers quick. they literally make one pair of elite hobby jogging trainers. and since it takes two years for a design to come to market...

I saw a post earlier about the new line of Skechers that's just been released. It seems like this isn't just a coincidence with Skechers entering the running market and having a professional team on the way.

Yeah, it's not difficult to use Google and come across articles, ads, YouTube videos, and trade shows that showcase and discuss their new line on the way. It looks like they've discontinued the GoRun and introduced the Areo line instead. I was curious when I read about a Skechers group, and it makes sense as the newee product is launching from now until January. So, anyone who uses Google, use it!

Let’s pump the breaks a bit on the Brosnan is starting a pro group hype train.

a) he isn’t starting anything as the BBTC has been around for a while. Sounds like he is joining their coaching team.

b) there are no pros. BBTC mainly does coaching for kids. While they had Martinez and Berian a years ago, i don’t see any more evidence a pro or any significant names have joined BBTC or are being coached by Brosnan.

This is just another pre-announcement like the ones we’ve been hearing for a couple of years now. “Something big is coming!”

I guess Martinez and Berian are no longer married then.

I plan to train with him. I have a 13:45 PR. He said that there are a few others around my level.

Are you a pro? By training with him, did Skechers offer you a contract?

So, his pro group has changed from speculating if he would be the fourth location of the Nike coaching team with Taylor, Smith and Schumacher, to coaching with a team that works with high school kids and a few almost elites?

OK, bravo! I guess all the nay sayers were wrong. looks like he did it.

Berian may have been coached by Handler in 2012? Wikipedia is not a valid source. That's also a long time ago, has Handler done anything since?

There is currently no evidence of this actually being true. No evidence for even PART of this to be true.

While Brosnan or Skechers may have not have contacted you directly with evidence or to this platform, reputable sources such as agents, running industry professionals, and athletes suggest a different perspective. The new Skechers group is indeed promising, drawing parallels to the launch of Puma Elite. Pro running groups are not flashy as those in the NFL draft, but the industry buzz and athlete signings will gradually reveal the authenticity of this venture. Additionally, the decision-making processes of individuals like Sean Brosnan relocating to Big Bear was not for the hell of it. Just my thoughts from people who actually work in running.

Handler obviously had success with Brenda and Berian, but the athletes he has coached seem to agree that he is a very good coach for High School athletes. He doesn't look for top athletes and glom onto their names to take credit for their accomplishments, like some coaches do. He's intense and is known to get too frustrated at his athletes when they underachieve and at event directors when his athletes aren't placed in the right heats, but his disciplined approach makes a huge difference in turning average athletes into high performers. Brosnan is obviously a trade up compared to his previous partner, unless he's still involved also. Team Skechers will have some controversy around them, and it will be forgotten once they have some success, I'm sure.

I hope Coach Brosnan does something like this and more. He’s a big name and find for the sport. The majority of coaches are boring personalities and Track needs better. Whenever Brosnan does anything people are waiting for him to succeed or fail. Like it or not, thats good for our sport. We need more coaches to keep pushing boundaries and striving for greatness. Even though the spotlight may be intense, I’m pulling for his team’s success. He makes the sport more fun to follow. Not many coaches can do that.
