Some of the comments here suggesting athlete performance, the design of stadiums etc are attributed to the USATF are so comical - the dots some of you think you are connecting are just wild.
Look the USATF is no different to any crappy corporate out there. That's all it is. The guys at the top get their bag, they have structures in place to protect their territory, it's just a classic weed infested garden that has taken off and choked the life out of any "flowers" that may be there - just classic corporate culture and performance whenever power and money is involved.
But come on - is the USATF responsible for the damn 4x100 messing up every major event? That is one of the most hilarious smoke and mirror attempts I've ever heard. How about this - the team is full of narcissistic idiot sprinters who all want to be the center of attention that don't get along and haven't had a leader (whether it's Mitchell, Marsh , whoever) that demands enough respect to get them on the same page once a year to pass an aluminum tube around a track. The javelin access woes at Hayward - what you thought Max Siegel should have been down there with his tape measure and lazer surveying equipment signing off on the tunnel geometry? Come on.
The USATF are clowns, but let's not find every axe possible in the shed to grind here and blame it on them because ironically in doing that you won't get any solutions to those things either.
Maybe the javelin problem could be solved by, I dunno, using different stadiums to hold their events ??😆
Or maybe ask their equipment supplier to angle the top of bottom tray of the Javelin cart by 10 degrees and they will fit without a problem. Solutions bruh…focus on solutions
