Gout gout is not him. Sorry. Wish he was but I just don't see it. Until and unless he switches to the 400 or mysteriously gets extremely jacked traps and shoulders in his twenties like almost every other top sprinter. Cough.
He ran 9.99 twice, first time in the heats (+3.5) easing up 30m out, 2nd time with a +2.6, flat out but poor start.
Not bad for a young 200m specialist.
2 days off, then running in the opens 200 on Sunday Perth time. Hoping for good conditions, looks possible.
Yet he was beaten by a 60M specialist in his special event.
Who said Kennedy is a 60m specialist? Just because he's good at 60 doesn't make him a 60 specialist. Kennedy just ran 10.00 (legal) in the heats at nationals.
Also Kennedy is 21 and Gout is 17. Has some impact.

Well, one of our esteemed posters would say that Kennedy must be better at the 200 than the 100 for a very specific reason.

Right now you have to call him a 60m specialist. He’s one of the top two fastest guys in the world at that event. Where would he rate in the 100ms at the end of the season? Nowhere near top ten or twenty.
