They really dropped the ball in not getting a meet in Europe nailed down. I get all the talk about building an audience, untapped markets, etc. But you need the product to look good. People watching on TV need to feel like they're missing out by not being there. Holding a meet in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, or any of the Nordic countries almost guarantees you a 75% full stadium that looks good on TV. That attracts other spectators for future meets, it attracts advertisers. It makes the whole thing a bit more financially viable in the long-term.
I hope the racing is good, but they need to make this look like a spectacle. People need the FOMO if this is to survive
