I think we need a D4. NESCAC, UAA, etc. are already several steps above many of the smaller D3 conferences. If NEC-type schools drop down they will be more in line with schools like NYU and Williams, not SUNY or CUNY schools.

Interesting. I did not know that. Thanks. As far as I know there's never been a rush of D1 schools wanting to go to D3 and I don't know if there will be one now. But given the circumstances if there is such a rush why wouldn't the NCAA change that rule? I can imagine if there were a dozen schools looking to make that move and eight of them had to wait a year or more that they'd take the NCAA to court where the NCAA is to plaintiffs what the Washington Generals are to the Harlem Globetrotters.
