Interesting stuff here on Hummers.
While I personally would NEVER own a Hummer (too expensive to buy, too expensive to insure, too expensive to operate, hard to park, etc.), I have a hard time looking down my nose at anyone who does (just not my nature). Here's why:
1) Maybe the owners are a married couple who have decided not to have kids. Right there, they are saving more energy and being more environmentally friendly than I have been.
2) Maybe this is their ONE vice in life. Maybe they grow all their vegetables and hang the laundry on the line and walk every where they can. How am I to know, and who am I to judge?
I guess those two points sum it up. Maybe the Hummers are a SYMBOL of excess, but maybe that's unfair. Obviously someone though the World Trade Towers were a symbol of something evil, and how they went about destroying that was pretty unfair.
I hope no one keys a Hummer or uses a can of brake fluid on a paint job of one.
I'm sure though that my opinion is just wrong somehow, so I'll just state so no. I am wrong.
