the reality is, he likely doesn't go for the double if the competiton is very stiff. 3 straight days is brutal.
I know this upsets people, you can't handle a comment that doesn't deify Jakob. He's not going to run a 3k against Aregawi the day before racing Hocker, Kerr, and Nuguse. if the 3000 is on the final day, good chance he goes for it.
Tbh, I hate the fawning over Jakob on these boards, but I think he probably would do the double even if all the big guns were there. He'd back himself to win anyway. Remember he did the mile/3k double at Pre a few years ago and won both. I'm not saying it would be the smart decision to double in a strong field, but he'd do it.

It’s true. Jakob is nothing if not fearless to the point of being foolhardy.

Ingebrigtsen winning a tactical final, Ingebrigtsen haters go home devastated
HockerUSA will come back and say the field was weak or the kickers weren't there when he literally said Gourley and Nader will outkick him before the race.
Did Hocker really say that? I'd like to see the receipts. I'll text them to Jonathan and directly ask about it.
Brandon Miller went for gold but killed his own race and nearly cost Hoey gold. I think we can dial back the Hoey hype a wee bit. Arop and Wanyonyi arent quaking in their boots at that.

This is harsh but: Everybody outside of the top 4 should be embarrassed
It’s JV world championships. What do you expect?
Super disappointed that Sinclaire Johnson didn’t even put her nose in it at any stage. She’s run 3.55, so should at least have been up with the 2nd group. Starting to give up on her - so incredibly talented, but not sure the mindset is there frankly.

Yes, but the 3000 was last. He doesn't typically do anything to jeopardize his 1500. The reason he didn't double in Tokyo. The 5000 was day before the 1500.

Dumb race - far too quick out, and then that little sprint race with Miller; Hoey got lucky it wasn’t a stronger field or he would have been mowed down in the last 100m.
