Was anyone else a bit surprised by the girls' mile and 2 mile? I don't know much about Weller, but she wasn't even mentioned for the majority of the race and then suddenly kicked out of nowhere. As for the mile, I know a fair amount about Strauss because I'm from NE so I follow the NE champs. I definitely was rooting for her to do well, especially knowing that she didn't have a great finish last year in the race. I also know that she's had a crazy good year, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised by her taking the title. The race was wide open with Engelhardt out and Hedengren at Nike, so it honestly was anyone's game.
