He'll definitely have to re-evaluate his diet and fuelling plan, that would be useful information for others.
There are competitive athletes with full-blown type 2, thinking of British rower and multiple oly champ Steve Redgrave.
Redgrave is type 1. So is Gary hall jnr - who was one of best freestyle sprinters in world.
